The Dragon NaturallySpeaking Software works
best with the Speech Recognition process and it can easily transcribe the
recorded audio files for yours or someone else too.
In case you’re away from the computer, you
can record your voice through some recording device or mobile recording app.
The saved audio file can be used later to transcribe the audio into text by
using Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
Make sure you the recording should be for
Notes, Observations or Memos.
On the other hand, if you want to record
someone else’s voice and transcribe it with your DNS Software, you can record
it through your mobile app or recording device and transcribe it later.
But in that case, the Recorded things can be
anything like lectures, presentations, or interviews, documents, reports, or
reference notes. However, to make changes in someone else’s transcribed file,
you can perform the action manually by using mouse & keyboard, only after
the final outcome.
The Dragon NaturallySpeaking Software supports audio file formats in .wav, .mp3, .wma, .dss, .ds2, and .m4a at min.
audio file sampling rate of 16.000 KHz.
So, make sure that the audio format should
support the technical specifications as given above.
As single user ID is assigned to Dragon
NaturallySpeaking, you can use your own User ID to transcribe someone else’s
recorded audios. The speech data won’t affect the Speech Data already existing
in your profile.
But in case you have more recordings of a
person to transcribe using DNS, you should create a new transcription user
profile to get more accurate results.
Go to the Settings, Click on Profile Icon and
then New User Profile option. Here, you can select the most appropriate check
box. Make sure to disable Nuance Management Center Mode before you start
creating a transcription-only user profile, else you might face difficulties.
